Almost black with a vivid crimson hue. Reserved nose opens up to Ribena/blackcurrant aromas. Huge generously flavoured palate without being over-extracted. Very drinkable.

Dark inky red colour. Oak is “loud” on the nose but the floral cherry/prune fruit carries it well. Big oaky palate smoothly integrated with sweet, spicy and fleshy fruit.

Earthy fruit fragrances with prune-like notes and a peppery lift. Very good high acid palate with ripe plum and blackberry flavours and soft, but noticeable, tannins.

The nose is an interesting mix of sour cherry, prunes and Balsamic-like aromas all of which are echoed on the palate that is nicely balanced by a lovely line of crisp acidity.
