Colour showing aged brick red edge. Developed savoury nose that still shows some varietal fruit. Voluptuous palate, good length and complexity of savoury fruit flavours.

Sweet toffee apple nose with sherry-like notes and rancio flavours laced with spices, honey and nuts. “Different but good.”

A lovely rich old fashioned style of shiraz that is still holding up well for its age. Has developed bottle age aromas and aged leathery, spicy oak flavours. “A curio!”

Fabulous toasty development here. The nose is all nougat and toast with hints of honeysuckle which carries through to the palate with its very persistent flavours and lovely lemon notes.

A rich toasty/figgy fruit bouquet with loads of interest and complexity and more of that lovely complexity evident on the fantastic nutty/fruited palate with a perfect acid balance. 5+

Complex bouquet – smells of vanilla, yeast and nuts. Great palate – has a lovely finesse and is loaded with flavour a with an interesting finish that’s almost custard powder like.

Pretty good for a 2003. This generous wine smells very oaky but there are berries there. Lovely flavour depth. Drink soon.

Lovely aged nose; lots of very good brambly fruit development. For a 12 year-old wine there is still plenty of great sweet fruit on the palate. Good drinking.

A beautifully aged wine; good drinking now. Has a complexity of earthy, licorice, peppery aromas and lovely aged flavours that still show fruit freshness. Excellent chalky tannins.

Nicely aged aromas of toasty lime with hints of green apple. The palate is complex, intense and long but still has lovely freshness to it. “Very good for such an old wine!”
