Priced right, this easy-drinking, vibrantly fruity red is deep ruby, with a slightly spicy bouquet. Full-bodied, it has very good depth of fresh, ripe berry, plum and spice flavours, a touch of complexity and a smooth finish. $20 (A)

Drinking well now, this is a very fresh and punchy, strongly varietal wine. Pale lemon/green, it is highly aromatic, with penetrating tropical fruit and herbaceous flavours, crisp and finely balanced. $18 (A)
