The National Wine Centre of Australia’s wine dinners (and one brunch) this winter will take you on a gastronomic trek across the finest wine regions of Europe – after a little indulgence with the very best Australia has to offer…
The series debut on May 15 was a sold-out night to remember for the serious wine enthusiast. Hosted by Tony Love, guests indulged in some of Australia’s finest drops as head sommelier James Boden uncovered some of the hidden gems that have been cellared on site in the years since the National Wine Centre opened its doors in 2001.
A hand crafted four-course menu designed specially by Executive Chef Steven Clark in co-operation with James created the perfect matching of the finest food and wine.
Friday June 14, The Spanish Bull
Spain plays host to some of the most celebrated wine regions in the world and also produces amazing cuisines. Our Spanish Bull dinner will focus on emerging Spanish varietals grown in Australia – from Albarino to Tempranillo – and the wineries that champion these grapes! Steven Clark and his team have produced a menu that truly allows these wines to be appreciated, with the smells and flavours of traditional Spanish cuisine such as whole-roasted pork and Pulpo a la Gallega set to feature.
