Greywacke Marlborough Pinot Noir 2016

Tasting: Marlborough - March/April 2019

Region: Marlborough

Year: 2016

Price: $48.00

Review/Comments
This powerful red was grown in the Southern Valleys, hand-harvested, fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured for 18 months in French oak barriques (30% new). Deeply coloured, with a fragrant, fruit-packed bouquet, it is full-bodied, rich and flowing, with concentrated cherry, plum and spice flavours, and slightly earthy notes adding complexity. Still very youthful, it should break into full stride 2021+. $48 (A, UK, US)
