An Oregon native, Jen has a wealth of winemaking experience and has completed 28 harvests in NZ and overseas. In 2015 she joined Grant Taylor at Valli where she continues to craft site expressive pinot noir but still finds time to experiment; an extended skin contact pinot gris is her latest project.

Winestate’s New Zealand editor has worked in the wine trade for 33 years, 24 of those as a Master of Wine. She runs NZSWS, a wine education school, and judges wine competitions both at home and internationally.
