This distinctive Waipara, North Canterbury wine is from the estate's oldest, ungrafted vines, picked late with 'a good portion of noble botrytis'. A very powerful, weighty wine (14.5% alc/vol), it is bright, light yellow/green, with concentrated, peachy flavours, hints of oranges and honey, good delicacy and a lasting finish. It should be long-lived; open 2021+. $37 (A, UK)
